If you choose to go with the alternate build pictured above then you need to realize you may miss out on some of the plot due to your Force powers failing during conversations with main characters. Either way, start this sucker here to get all you can out of the plot for the game. This skill can stay at 18, but it can also be leveled in conjunction with your wisdom as it affects many of your mind-altering Force powers. Charisma 18: As always, the all-important skill of charisma is going to come into play all throughout your game.Put all of your attribute points that you earn from leveling into it if you want, it won't hurt to get it as high as possible. However, we need to get it to 18 through leveling later in the game because all of your Force powers depend on it. Wisdom 16: Although the wisdom attribute is the bread and butter of the Jedi Consular, I find it way less important than charisma. We do not want that -1 debuff on our intelligence costing us necessary skill points! Intelligence 10: In KotOR I we used this same method so as to not lose out on any necessary skill points, and we are going to do the same here. The Jedi Consular can heal itself with both items and Force powers, so wasting points on health and dodging is useless. The Jedi Consular is not a ranged unit, nor does it need to have a large health bar. Dexterity and Constitution 8: Both of these are going to receive a -1 buff, but that is okay.10 is enough to get you by without sending you into an incurable death loop. You need at least some advantage in melee combat because of lightsabers being a must later on, but not so many points you start taking away from others. Strength 10: The only reason I have any skills placed in strength is to remove the -1 debuff.Sure, you can make it easier on yourself by diversifying, but where's the fun in making everything easy? If you want to test out both builds then look at the pictures above, but the best attribute build is as follows:

So the short answer: Sentinel/Watchman or Sentinel/Assassin.Though I have included an alternative to the best build for your attributes, I'm only going to be discussing the best placement of your attributes in this section. It's really a coin toss, but given that the endgame is mostly solo, I usually go with Watchman/Assassin. Sometimes I'll go with those classes, but I find that the sneak attack/stealth ability of the Watchman is also incrediby useful, especially when combined with the "crowd control" abilities, Stasis and Insanity, among others. So I normally go Sentinel.Īs for prestige class, I really like the Jedi Master/Sith Lord abilities to inspire others, as well as the fact that your companions can get light/dark mastery only with those classes. By contrast, I use Ataru fairly frequently, as well as Niman from time to time, and Consular doesn't get either. Usually, however, I'll go Sentinel, because the only force discipline I ever use is Force Focus, and all three classes get it. If I plan on using a *lot* of force powers, I'll go Consular. Since I can maximize that and still have loads of feats to spare with either class, it falls to my force use. Because of it, there's not really any need to play Guardian/Weapon master unless you intend to pick a bunch of feats.īoth Consular and Sentinel have enough feats to maximize one (or maybe two) of the combat special attacks. (Sentinel was 3/4 in K1, and Consular was 1/2). Your choices of class would matter more if OB had kept the BAB progression between classes. So which combinations of starting class and prestige class are you considering? I think I might go for the Sentinel/Jedi Master this time, if only to see if it's as powerful as the sentinel/sith lord combination was.

As the Restoration Team begins to finish stuff, I intend to start over, and I guess many others will do the same. If there were more, I went in, threw them to the ground with Force Wave, then toasted them with Force Storm a few times - end of story.īut I'm really more a light side kind of guy and don't enjoy playing DS so much.

My character was really a monster in lightsaber battles, even though she didn't have a dedicated combat-oriented class, and the combination with force powers made her unstopable, especially toward the end where powers like Force Crush could waste single enemies without danger. I heard the Sentinel/Sith Lord combination was pretty powerful, so I tried that. Then I decided to see the DS side of the game. It was okay for war, but didn't use the Force so much (unless you used some infinte xp points, but I couldn't be bothered. On my first play through, I switched to jedi weapon master and tore the enemies apart. After trying out the base classes, I found that I liked the Sentinel best and played that.
